 Post subject: bass fuzz sounding weak

hi y'all so I built this bass fuzz point to point and it sounds great....only when my foot is locked on the foot switch.. as soon as I release my foot it drops in sound. Any tips on why this is?

Sounds like bad soldering on the switch or an overheated switch.

Does the footswitch give an audible click when fully depressed, as it should? Are you sure you're pushing it all the way down? This is a latching switch, not a momentary.

yeah the footswtich gives a click and its fully clicking on. but as soon as I turn it on and I keep my foot on the pedal it sounds great and then when I release my foot sound drops.

Sure sounds like a bad switch. I'd replace it. If you contact sales@buildyourownclone.com and explain that you received a faulty footswitch in your kit, they will get a new one out to you at no cost.
