I built the pedal according to directions, it lights up but I can't get any sound - bypass works. Are there any trouble shooting guides I can look at? Or does anyone have anything they can suggest?
I added photos

Clean bypass and a working LED but no effected sound usually means a bad solder joint somewhere. It can also be caused by a misplaced component.

We'll need to see your work to help you. Please post photos of your build, making sure they are large and clear enough for us to see details such as the color bands on your resistors. Please include photos of both sides of the circuit board as well as your wiring. If you need help posting the photos, let us know.

As Scott has said, we really need to see a good set of photos to be able to effectively assist you.

Also, following this process often solves problems like the one you've described:

These are the pictures after re soldering and checking components. Still not working.

Thanks Jay

You've got some pretty serious flux residue. You should probably clean that up with some isopropyl alcohol and cotton.

Are you sure you have your chips in the right sockets? I can't read them in the pics.

Can you please take voltage readings of all the chips?

In case you're not sure how todo this: Set your multimeter to the DC voltage mode, indicated by a solid line above a dotted one. Use the 20VDC range setting if it's not an auto-ranging meter. Your power source needs to be connected and there needs to be a cable in the input jack. If the pedal is assembled into the metal enclosure, put the black probe into one of the corner screw bosses of the enclosure--this is your ground connection. If the "guts" are out of the enclosure, use the sleeve tab of the input jack for the ground connection. Then touch the red probe to each point that you want to measure. See image below for the numbering of the pins.

This is what I have for voltages, starting at 1 going counter clockwise according to the red arrows.
top center [TL072]
1 - 16.42 / 8 - 17.12
2 -6.4 / 7 - 16.42
3 -6.3 / 6 - 12.1
4 - 13.22 / 5 -12.57
left [TL072]
1- 9.97 / 8 - 9.26
2- 9.96 / 7 - 9.63
3 - 10.69 / 6 -11.92
4 - 0 / 5 - 12.5
bottom right [7660SCPA]1
1 -9.26 / 8-9.26
2-5.3 / 7-5.73
3-0 / 6-4.23
4-3.81 /5-3.77

The "-" symbol is a bit confusing because there should actually be negative voltages on some pins. Please take the voltage again and be sure to pay attention to negative voltages. Also, after you take those readings again, remove all the chips from their sockets and take reading of the empty sockets as well.

For comparison sake, here are the IC voltages on my fully functional SPv.2:

Note than pins 6 & 7 on the charge pump are not connected to the circuit, so the voltages "float" and can vary widely.
