I ordered some electrolytic caps from Small Bear and the leads are on opposite ends of the cap.

How do I know which is the positive and negative? The can has the - indicator on ths side which is usually the side with the short lead, but now I can't tell.

Here is the link to the Small Bear page but they don't have pics.

Those would be axial. For future reference, the ones with the leads on the same side are radial. Does the side with the - signs have arrows as well? I've seen some electrolytics like this

->->-> and some like this - - - -

If it has an arrow, that's obviously the negative end. IF not, I'm not sure how to tell. I looked through my stock, I don't have an axial polarized cap to look at.

The best way to tell polarity on an axial lead cap is, the crimped end is positive. The end with the black rubber "cap" is negative. I've done the same thing before and ordered the wrong ones, so I know this by heart now.

Just got home and am looking at this caps.
The arrows are pointing away from the crimped end, so the crimped end is positive and the end the arrows point to are negative, right?
However, the black rubber end is on the positive side.
Doesn't this conflict with what blues_mang said?
Also, the negative lead looks to be soldered to end.

Still unsure, but 99% sure!

I've had capacitators with black rubber on both ends, I think it just depends on how that manufacturer makes them. but the arrows should always point to the negative side
