Hot off the bench! I consider this my best build so far... and it sounds great! I've changed out the standard parallel IC for the mismatched one (I get less feedback that way) but I'd like to be able to switch between the two without having to open the box. Has anyone done that? I'd love to try it, but I'm not sure it will fit!

Great looking build. :D

Love the distressed finish combined with the pristine paisley swirls.

if you did the switch with the ics i think ud need a trimpot externalized because the stock bbd has half the delay time?

Thanks guys!

I'm spraying on multiple coats of different colored paint. Started off with a gray primer, then went from yellow, to green, to blue, and a sprinkle of more green on top. After the paint dried, I took my Mouse sander to it, sanded down the edges and roughed it up to get the different colors to show.

Vick- I'm not sure about the trim pot out. When I was switching the ICs, I never messed with the one that was inside, and it sounded fine.

Very nice finish there - I'm currently doing a paisley finish, but I think yours has it beat - I may have to rethink (steal ) an idea or two from you!

Steal away! This paint job is all a bunch of little ideas I got from seeing other pedals on this forum!

Really nice looking pedal Anna, you did a fantastic job. I don't have feedback problems with my flanger, so I'm not 100 percent about what your talking about with matched versus unmatched IC chips. A knee jerk reaction however is a suggestion that you consider replacing the (3) RC4558 chips with burr brown OPA2134PA chips. I use the burr brown in my overdrive pedals because I feel they sound better. One forum member (mmarsh???) posted in the flanger tech support forum replacing the 4558 chips with the burr browns for more headroom....might be something to give a try.

I'll have to check that out... thanks for the suggestion!

the flanger is designed to self oscillate in differential mode at high regen settings.

that build looks great! makes mine look soooo MXR and boring...

How did you do the finish?
