Gentlemen,

Because I am a glutton for punishment, I am considering organizing another LARGE group buy.

I am primarily interested in 3PDTs, 1/4 inch jacks, and potentiometers.

I have been asked by several different forum members on both the BYOC and MadBean boards if I was going to do this, and I am leaning toward a 'Yes'.

For those of you that have not participated in one of these yet, here is a quick overview:

We agree on what we are trying to buy, and from which vendor - I want to organize a buy on 3PDTs, Jacks and Pots and I am choosing to do business with Mammoth, as they have handled the last two buys without a hitch.

The benefit to the individual is that as a group, we have the ability to buy LOTS of parts, and get the parts at steeply discounted rates.

Last time out we manged to move almost $3,900.00 worth of parts. I know; I counted them ALL!

Image

If we have enough interest to move $2,700.00 or more, Mammoth has agreed to give us free shipping (to me).

I ship to individuals in Small Flat Rate USPS boxes, which are presently a little more than $5.00 domestically.

I will open the buy to all forum members, both foreign and domestic. I will even ship to CANADA!

For now, we will only be looking at the switches, pots and jacks mentioned above, and if you wish to participate, you will need to order your bits in groups of five: I.E. if you want B100k pots, you can order 5, 10, 15, etc.......

Counting random odd numbers takes far too long and has much more margin for error.

I will also add $3.00 per order as MY handling fee, and when we get that far, I will send invoices that INCLUDE the Paypal fees.

This has worked splendidly in the past, and I look forward to helping us all get restocked for the coming year.

Please post in this thread if you have questions, and please post in this thread to indicate your interest, so I can gauge whether we have enough interest to make this work.

Chris

IIRC, a small order wound up being $40-$50, and a couple of the Big Dogs were in the $300.00 range.

It all depends on you. But the more we buy, the steeper the discounts.

I'm definitely in for pots and Neutrik jacks. I'd be interested 3pdt's if there's enough interest in the green, 'pro' ones.

I would love to get closed Switchcraft Jacks, or even open Switchcraft jacks. Not a huge fan of the open Neutriks.

I would almost certainly be in for some potentiometers and maybe some 3PDT switches.

ps- I'm good with the open mono jacks 4SJK100M ($.65)

If we have a few days where I can put aside some funds for this, I'd be in for some 3PDT's (green Pro's) and jacks at the very least.

So for price estimation, use current mammoth pricing plus $8 for s/h and it should be less than that right?

I'd be into $100-$150 of various stuff depending on when it happens.

Can we do a group buy 100k resistors, too? The $0.0002 I am currently paying is just too high.

This is hilarious - I was just in my parts stash yesterday and I thought to myself, "my 3pdt stash is low - we should do another group buy."

I'm in for just 3pdts this year. I'm good with jacks/pots.

I'm interested tentatively, but I did just get 100 3DPTs and 200 mono jacks from Mammoth recently!

I'm in as well. As my luck goes, I just ordered about $150 worth of jacks and 3PDT's, but I can always use more.

Im in for 3PDT and jacks for sure possibly in the 25 3PDT range and 50+ mono jacks range. Will most likely throw down on some pots too but have to do some calcumalating.

if hard numbers help you, i'm looking at a ballpark of 10 3PDTs, 75-100 mono jacks, maybe 20 pots?
