It's time for me to restock on wire and I though I'd see if anyone else was interested. I'm buying this regardless, so I don't think I'm gonna do a whole group buy/signup/prepay deal. I just want to feel out interest so I don't deplete what I'm keeping for myself.

Price seems unchanged (rare these days). $10 for 25 feet shipped. $9 for each additional 25. Colors are red, black, green, yellow. Mix and match, but in blocks of 25'
Spools are 500', price on that should be in the $160 range.

Most of you guys know what this wire is, but if this is the first time you've heard of it, I'll tell you it's the absolute best hook-up wire for pedals that I have ever used. Stranded and pretinned. Insulation doesn't shrink up at the slightest sign of heat.

There is no better wire in my opinion. I have used it exclusively for about 3 years now

Best stuff ever. I'm getting low too, so I am definitely in. Will have to take stock to know how much, but please don't order without me!

YES! This stuff is the best!! I use it exclusively for off board pots and toggle switches. Would use it for everything else if it was cheaper.

75 foot yellow please!

Thanks!!

Wire order has been placed, I will have about 150 feet of each color left should anyone want some in the future.

I know I'll need 25 each of yellow and green. I think I'm all set on black and red, but I'll have to check when I get home.

Wire is in!
Send payment to tommy (at) transposed.net with your address and desired length and color. $10 for first 25, $9 for each additional. If you order 50' of one color, you will get one continuous piece at 50'.
If we've done business in the past, feel free to send PPG. If you're hesitant, no worries, just send it regular so you are protected.

Resurrecting this old thread. I haven't bought wire in years. Barry seems to be out of stock on some things. Where else does one get great wire in 2018?

Good question, 'Hawk. I'm down to a couple of feet in most of the 6 colors I have. Would love to get some more, but not a mile of it....

I was on Barry's site a bit ago. One thing I couldn't find, and it could have been staring me in the face, is what amount of feet Barry was selling for $2.25. I assume 10ft. He was out of one color and only had one roll in another so I moved on. In the past I've bought some Mammoth wire and hated the stuff both from a non tinned perspective but also you really couldn't mold it very well to sit where it needs to sit. I shy away from solid core. I seem to play with the PCB a bit too much for that

I actually JUST got a quote from Trevor for his wire, because I am almost out of green and yellow, two of the four colors I regularly use. Unfortunately you have to buy 500 feet of the stuff to make it affordable, and I'm not sure I have it in me to run a group buy right now.

FWIW, his price is $120 per 500 foot roll, plus shipping to me or whomever would run the buy. They have green, yellow, red, and black in stock. That works out to $24 plus shipping for 100 feet, $12 for 50. If I decided to do this, I wouldn't go any less than 50 foot lengths, just too much measuring and cutting.

There was some interest at Madbean recently too, so… maybe.

I'd be in it for at least four 50' rolls.

I guess I could just buy 1 100' roll of the same color and use that. Yeah, not a single chance I'd solder the wrong wire to wrong part

I did just that and only had 2 red wires. Had a 50% chance and lost

On a related but unrelated note, I haven't kept track of Tdiddy. I guess he is still going gang busters on pedal sales?

I have:

6-700' red
400ish' black
2-300' ea green and yellow

:Left over from the last group buy. If it's just the handful of you, I'd sell it for the group buy price, it's posted up there at the top of this thread I'm sure. I, too, do not have it in me to run a full fledged group buy, but for you guys... Shoot me a PM or FB message.

I have pretty much gone to all PTFE hook up
Wire the last few years, On Fx boxes anyway, never have any melt issues.

However it is hard on wire strippers. it will dull cheep ones pretty fast,
Can’t remember where I got the last batch from, it was a few years ago.
Best hook wire I have ever used.

For tube stuff or guitar wiring I like the old cloth push back wire. The real push back, not the stuff with plastic inside..

Think I am good on wire for the rest of my lifetime, unless some major production run comes along
Highly unlikely....lol
y’all try some ptfe, you may like it.

Steve at Apex Jr (apexjr.com) is where I go for my PTFE needs. I use PTFE coax for I/O on pedals, but that's about it. Still prefer the pre-tinned stranded from this thread for any other hook-up wire. Amp builds I use PTFE 18AWG silver stranded or 24AWG silver solid depending on application. I tend to only use cloth on repairs or if I'm trying to do some sort of vintage inspired clone amp.

Forgot about this thread, I may need to order some more wire. Let me know if anyone else is interested, I'll see if Trevor is still around.

I did the one before this one, that spin set up. Trevor is still around; I emailed him earlier this year. Prices are pretty similar, I think. Which is to say, hard to justify with the lower traffic on the forum that led to lower numbers in the group buy.

That being said, whenever I run out of the wire I got last time, I am for sure going to buy more from him. That stuff is so good!

Yeah it is. I really like it. Lawrence has got some nice looking wire on his site. Lovemyswitches.com is what I think he’s calling it now.

I have wanted to try it, but at a minimum order of a 500 ft. spool, it's not really feasible.

yea, but you would be set for life!!! I was looking at it, and it breaks down to something like .07 per foot at 34.95 for 500 ft. While a good price, we couldn’t get enough people to go in on it to make it worth while, like you were saying.

I wonder where all the builders went. We’ve seen ebb and flow, but not too many have come back.
