For me, eating inside the airplane is uncomfortable. It's like eating inside a car.

Also the food on the airplane reminds me of hospital food so it's usually not that exciting.

The food at the airport restaurants is usually better so I eat before take off.

If I do eat on a plane, I just pack a banana and some granola type snacks.

If I was a frequent flyer with a crazy busy schedule, I probably would eat on the plane though for convenience so in that case, eating on a plane is probably fine.

I usually take the meal/snack if they offer one because it helps pass the time.

Mostly though, I drink on airplanes.

I did a lot of business travel in the '80s and '90s. So mostly I stay the hell off of airplanes!

They haven't served hot food on any flight I've been on in like the past 5+ years. Now they just come by with a 10$ box of crackers along with the complimentary drinks.

The food on intercontinental flights isn't bad. At least for my taste. I mean, it's not amazing or anything like that but it's certainly edible. Anyone else feels that way?

I agree. I remember flying to France and they served some type of beef stew and it was good.

I suffer from a terrible condition where I just can't say no when somebody puts free food in front of me. Any kind of food that is edible basically.

So if a stewardess asks me if I want something I'll take it. Besides, I don't know where it is where you are, but airport food is either terribly expensive, or the same fastfood joints you get elsewhere else. So if they serve food onboard I'll take it. Why pay extra?
