Cant find said diodes in the schematic. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

That would be D4 & D5 between the IN jack and the adapter jack. In the schematic they would be the two diodes used with the 7660 charge pump.

Thank you!

What I dont understand in the schematic... if these are D4 and D5 near the 7660, why are they labeled 1N4001? Also I thought there was only 1 1N4001 in the parts list but in the schematic part 1 there's 3?

Also, where is the 7660 charge pump. I see in the schematic there's something labeled 7660 but on the PCB and parts list there's a 1054 charge pump. But maybe those are the same? Still learning ;-)

They’re labeled as 1N4001s because thats what the kits originally shipped with. The 1N5817s are Schottky diodes which have a lower Vf than 1N4001 diodes. Using them in place of the 1N4001 diodes allows the CP to deliver an output voltage that is closer to the claimed 18V.

The 3rd 1N4001 is used as a reverse polarity protection diode. This helps to prevent damage to the circuit in case the polarity of the power supply is reversed.

The charge pump is IC2. It’s right next to D4.

This is another part substitution from the original version to give improved performance. The LT1054 is a more robust charge pump than the 7660--it will put out more current and also seems to avoid unwanted interaction issues with certain other pedals.
