It’s been a while since I played it since I built it a few years ago. But wow. In my opinion, it’s one of the greatest pedals of all time.

You know, it's not going to win me any credibility with the #diypedals crowd, but I really can't make myself like them. I've tried and tried, and it's just not my cup of tea. I have an old ESV fuzz from 2010 with AC127 transistors, but I passed it on to a friend of mine who really makes it sing.

One thing that can't be denied, though: that simple little circuit has given birth to an incredible amount of world-changing music.

I plugged my bluesboy in to mine, it made it sing.

My only pet peeve about the pedal is that I have to be careful about the guitar knobs since it’s sensitive to where my knobs are dialed.

But on the positive side, it has this high fidelity sound quality that kind of reminds me of an expensive sound system. It’s like a sound on steroids but in a natural way.

I built a Germanium Fuzzrite with tonecap selector switch, couldn't live without it.

An important factor with Fuzz Face-type pedals: don't put them after a buffer in your signal chain! It completely changes how they sound, and most people think it's NOT in a good way.
