Hi, I would like to understand why the schematic for the 27vBoost pedal shows that the ground pin from the power adapter is connected to pin #4 of the footswitch (which is the guitar signal input) ?

I admit it puzzles my small brain

It's simply an error in the schematic. If you're building it from the schem, and not a kit, just connect the power adapter's ground lug to ground, if you're building from a kit, just follow the board designations. I'll update the schematic when I get a chance.

At the same time, I noticed there are two résistors marked as R12 in the schematic. You might correct that as well.

The 2.2k resistor on the wiper of VR1 is R13.

1- The schematic shows Vr1 as B10k (for treble control) but the instructions states b100k at multiple locations… so which one should I buy ?

2- I would like to add a SPST switch to bypass the treble control - making it «flat» response... how would I change the circuit ?
First guess would be to use the switch to isolate (e.g. disconnect) the C4 capacitor from R13 (2.2k from the VR1 pot).
Second guess, use the switch to ground the R13 resistor directly, making C4 innoperate by having both it's leads to ground…

I think we use a 100k pot. Check the BOM in the instructions. But you can use a lot of different values in a tone control like this. It's not terribly important. 10k works. 25k, 50k, 100k would all work.

This type of tone control is already flat when you have the knob exactly at noon, so adding a switch for that would be redundant, but if you insist on doing that, then yes, lifting C4 would turn IC1b into nothing more than a non-inverting buffer.
