Hello,

I have just recently finished my build of the Harmonic Tremolo.
Everything seems to be working fine sound wise.
The Speed and Depth controls work as they should and I had no problem adjusting the inner pots for depth symmetry and level to good values.
And with the pedal switched on the LED flashes in sync with the Speed knob.
I am very pleased with how the pedal sounds (I think you guys did a great job with this pedal).
However, today I noticed that the LED is shining very dimly in by-pass mode.
Before I take the pedal apart and take photos to post I thought I should ask if this is “normal” or if there is some obvious mistake I have made.

Yeah, the LED in my Harmonic Trem glows faintly in bypass mode, too. I believe this is just the nature of this circuit. Keep in mind that the LED in this circuit is not connected like most BYOC effects, where it is completely separate from the effect part of the circuit and just grounds through the footswitch when it's in the engaged position, but lacks the required ground path when in bypass. With the Harmonic Trem, the LED is part of the LFO section, which is how its brightness modulates at the speed of the tremolo. So apparently, when bypassed, there must be some slight current path to ground through the LED, causing the dim glow.

Darn spent a long time trying to figure it out. If that is the case I originally used a clear led its much brighter then colored led . I am now using the original red led. Thanks for help.

Huh....I never noticed that. I've only ever used a red LED. I had to turn the lights off to notice it. I guess just think of it as a "power on" status light. The pedal is actually on when it's blinking.

You actually have some play with the R14 4k7 resistors. Increasing the value of this resistor will dim the LED. Typically, you would see a 10k resistor here. I honestly can't remember why I chose 4k7 for this value...maybe it just made the LED blink brighter.

For me this was good news.
Then I know that I haven't messed something up, which was my concern.
Well, at least not regarding the faintly glowing LED should probably be added :)
This is not something that bothers me and I will keep it as is.
Thank you guys for the feedback and support.
