I just tried to build this kit tonight and have the exact same issue as this thread. http://www.byocelectronics.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59109.

Symptoms:
- Effect powers up and LED lights up.
- Bypass signal is a little louder than effected signal. I can't tell if the effect is doing anything when on.
- The volume knob seems to work in reverse and lowers the volume even more when it's full clockwise. The other controls don't seem to do anything.

Here are the voltage readings on the two ICs.

Top
1 164mv and climbs
3 8.86mv
4 0
5 78.2mv
6 4.65v
7 .44v and drops
8 9.38v

Bottom
1 2.34v and drops
3 8.87v
4 0.1mv
5 68.3mv and drops
6 4.65v
7 .355mv and drop
8 9.38 v
