I am building a pedal that calls for a "MAX1044" IC chip. So I went to Digikey to buy one only to find several variations and I don't know A) which one to get, and B) what the differences are in these designations

There are:
MAX1044CPA
MAX1044CPA+
MAX1044EPA
MAX1044EPA+

Can somebody explain these differences and/or how they would impact my decision, if at all?
Here is a chart, but the only differences I see is operating temperature, and price. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/compare?s=N4IgzCBcDaIIwBYBMSCcA2EAaED3pQFZsRUEB2csCHRJc1VYgXRwShAHoBTAO04AOAJwD2AEwCuAYwAuAZ04AzAJYAbGdyGCRAd00BaALYBDXsYDm3Q3xn6Bh5VM4A3Eeovd9Q7uYmrjMiJCcvpiUqHhcjrKMlIAFsq85l4%2BfgFBClSoAPxyALwAcggAkuYAVgDCAEJSIgDiOgBSAB4AagCCAJoAnuYAsjrFnVVyACIA8lUAKu0FFe0ACgBaAIqjxsXtADJ1de1VzTqjcpsSIivtCO0SAKqb3RI6AKIIVVvtABLDAF5P7QBiqGacXaT2aAGsLgB1MAXBZ9dpdADS-yWEiR7RAAF8gA

I just want to know which one to buy without having to go down a rabbit hole.

....or should I just forget it, and go with the 7660S chip?

Thanks

At a glance, these seem interchangeable if the temperature rating is not relevant to you. All 4 pointing to the same data sheet suggests this as well so long as you’re certain the package type is correct (they all seem to be the same)

The cheaper ones are going obsolete (doesn’t necessarily mean anything, could be as simple as the specific factory discontinued them), I suspect that is why they’re priced so.

For audio applications, you might have better luck with 7660SCPA instead. I've had noise problems with MAX1044 nearly every time I've used them. If you get it working but have a consistent 10kHz whine, that's your culprit.

Thanks, I actually bought some 7660SCPAZ chips, but I also got some LT1054 chips which I hear are an upgrade to both of those. Plus I am installing a chip socket to make any future swaps easy.
