Hey everyone, my name is Hunter. I'm new here! Question: My OD-2 features a drive section and a boost section. I rarely ever use the boost, so I was thinking about removing the boost circuit and retooling the boost knob as a clean blend knob for the overdrive section. Is this possible, and if so, how?

It's possible. But it's very complicated. It's not a "mod" at this point. This would be considered "circuit bending", and a bit too much to try to explain how to do here.

Take a look at schematics for other overdrives with dry blends. Particularly TS808 based overdrives such as the Sparkle Drive or OD-820 and try to extrapolate from that.

Or study the dry blend add-on circuit for the Crown Jewel. In theory, this can be added to any circuit that has an input buffer, which the TS808 circuit does. You'd connect A to the emitter of the input buffer. Then cut the trace at the output of the distortion op amp. Connect B to the incoming side of the trace and C to the outgoing side.

Actually, instead of cutting the trace just pull the 1K resistor between the distortion op amp and the tone control op amp. Connect B to the distortion side. Connect C to the tone control side.
